Description

The story behind the artwork: I love music and hip-hop music has lots of high notes and rap which I like best. I used hip-hop symbols because I have many of them in my life. My red car has hydraulics which makes it go up and down. I collect hats and shoes and won’t talk about the leaf. Ha ha! I made foam stamps and carved the $ and car from wood and my backgrounds include strip print and stencils. This is all done in hip-hop colours. I used an engraving pen on soft wood and created stamps using foam to make prints. I also used a stencil in various coloured paints. I punched out the shapes I liked and layered them together. I used glue and string to attach it to my stick that I spray painted in different colours. I then added paper beads and hip-hop signs to thread through my stick.
