Description
One of our bestselling papers!
Handmade denim jeans paper is a long time in the making – hence its a little more expensive than the rest of our papers. First we get an old pair of pure cotton jeans. They’re then cut up into very small pieces and soaked for weeks, sometimes months. Its then boiled and soaked some more. Finally, when the fibres have broken down a bit its put through the hollander to be processed some more. From start to finish it takes anywhere from 3 months up to make the pulp! This paper feels more like a piece of fabric than paper!
All paper made at The Papermill has been handmade from recycled and/or plant fibres. There are no nasty chemicals used in the process.
