Description

The story behind the artwork: I love playing cards with my family and friends, it brings us all together. I chose to do the King, Queen, Jack and Ace because they are the highest in the pack. For my printing, I made a potato stamp for the spades, created a foam stamp for the clubs and diamonds and used an ink pad stamp for hearts. I created a mixed variety of prints on the backs of my displays by using cardboard edges, stencils, stamping, and layering of print. To tie it all together I stuck with the black and red theme of a deck of cards. I used rolled-up newspaper that I dyed in red and black indian ink. This represents casino chips. I used this as a detail at the bottom of my curtain.

This artwork has different prints on each side.
