Description

Keegan recreated Japanese Artist Yayoi Kusama’s ‘Butterfly’.  Keegan was inspired by the butterfly as he loves all types of animals and bugs.  Keegan is nonverbal but uses sign language to communicate.  Keegan often uses the butterfly sign.  Keegan like’s to use lots of bright colours and like’s using dots in his work too.  He used layers of handmade paper with PVA glue and finished the detail work on the butterfly with metallic pens.  He used black felts to add detail in the background and he framed it in an A3 white frame.  Keegan’s artist name is ‘King Keegan’.­­

This piece was entered into the 2022 IHC Art Awards but was not selected as a finalist. This does not mean that it’s not fabulous!
