Description
In January 2023 we harvested Montbretia (Copper tip) and experimented with making paper from this noxious weed. The 100% paper is quite brittle as there isn’t a lot of cellulose in the fibre. However the different shades of brown and bronze make it very attractive to look at and with the spaces between fibres looks wonderful held up in the light. When added to recycled paper you can really see the individual fibre strands in their various shades.
All paper made at The Papermill has been handmade from recycled and/or plant fibres. There are no chemicals used in the process.
