Description
The story behind the artwork: Sometimes my brain gets all jumbled up! I have highs and lows, good days and ad and all the emotions that go with it! Even on the bad days I know that my family, who I love and others in my life have my back. That’s the red butterflies on my curtain. The print of me is made with cardboard and foam and the backgrounds were printed with geli pad, stencils and a stamp I made with foam and string. I really enjoyed doing this project. I made my curtain from handmade paper and layers of prints. I used an engraving pen to make a silhouette of me holding my head onto soft wood and made prints using black ink. I used a butterfly stamp with orange ink for my small butterflies and for the larger butterflies, I made a stamp using foam board. I punched out the shapes of my prints and created layers onto my backgrounds also covered with different prints and techniques. I then glued them together with string in between and hung them on a stick I painted black.
This artwork has different prints on each side.
